Judge Tiffany Anderson called on Tuesday and left a voice mail message explaining that yes, I could arrive at 7:50 or 8:00 if necessary on August 29, my original summons date before they issued a continuance, and the jury service summons issued in September was cancelled.
The voice mail message she left said my letter had been bouncing around the place.
I was right, I figured that if I simply asked for a change due to impossibility I would be granted it.
I called the judge's chambers and spoke to a clerk and confirmed I had received the message. Since I have a voice mail message I don't need a written order.
I called the Jury office and they do have the verbal order allowing me to be late. |
