| D:OS is my pick for best turn-based RPG combat system of all-time. Also, not gonna lie: I still haven't played through my copy of Tides of Numenera because going from DOS' 3D rotatable landscape to Numenera's Infinity Engine remake felt like a huge step backwards and makes me think it's going to be a slog. DOS was so good it's ruining other games for me.
I'm too early in DOS2 to have any real opinion yet. So far it runs great, looks as good as the first, and everything seems familiar. I'm playing a dinosaur skeleton, but there's no button to go RARRRRR. Yet? Also, all of the voices make you sound like a wiener. Who's going to tremble beneath your might when every voice option makes you sound like you work in community theater? |
