Darcos 10/12/2017, 2:10pm PDT Adobe purchased Photoshop from Thomas Knoll, who wrote it while he was a student at the University of Michigan. Before Adobe, it came bundled with a slide scanner. Premiere was developed by Randy Ubillos at SuperMac, who sold it to Adobe when they didn't know what to do with it. SuperMac didn't want to lose Randy, so a provision of the sale prevented Adobe from offering him a job.
