It's not really any different than a penny stock. I have friends who invest in those.
The real money is in creating the coin. But that might be hard for US citizens to do in the future. The SEC is tightening its regulations.
With regard to SteemIt: I can't believe somebody named a company something so similar to "steamer."
People I know in the cryptocurrency community tell me that the only coins with bothering with are bitcoin, etherium, and... one other one I can't remember. And that the rest are scamcoins. But I really have no idea. I've given up trying to call the next big thing-- I always get it wrong. I wouldn't put my life savings into Cleveland Steamers, though. |
