The impression I get among the dev community is often that to make games where performance matters a lot (as in Cuphead, where the timing of events is critically important) you should be using lower-level languages like C++.
I found it encouraging because I'm a C# dork and C++ makes my eyes bleed; it made me happy to know that cool things I like are also made in C#. |
