| Gorgeous game, but the 20+ minutes of waiting in real time for equipment to be researched saps so much of the joy from gameplay. Even if I tried to be clever and leave the game running while I walked the dog, the game would automatically go to the pause screen after five minutes.
The final boss fight was shockingly lame. "Gee, a team of heavily armed cyborgs just murdered me on my porch twice tonight. Maybe I should stay inside, preferably in a fortified panic room, instead of finishing my evening stroll in my glowing bathrobe? Or maybe even get into a giant mech suit that I made for just such an occasion like the final boss in Crusader? Nah, I'm sure they've left by now." Rocks fall, everybody dies, all in service to a lame pun. |
