It's not DMC. More like Hyper Light Drifter, The Red Star, and Punch Out! by Mischief Maker 02/16/2018, 9:22pm PST Just picked it up on sale at gog tonight. So far I'm liking it. Like Hyper Light Drifter, your tron samurai seems zippy, but there's a deliberateness to his moves with no cancellations so a badly timed parry will be punished. Like The Red Star the action is constantly shifting between close-in melee brawling and Robotron-style wide open arena twin-stick shooting and bullet pattern dodging. And like Punch Out! it's a series of puzzle-based boss fights against enemies that telegraph patterns and your job is to time out the proper dodges, blocks and counterattacks to squeeze the most damage out of their windows of vulnerability. But it is most definitely NOT a Devil May Cry-style game. If that's what you're after, let me suggest Aztez.
