I picked it up by Entropy Stew 02/17/2018, 11:24am PST
Better than I expected! Random observations:
  • I'm not used to failing activities in the intro of a game, but it does generally get you prepped for how the game works.
  • The pacing is also on the slow side, which I like. It lets a situation sink in.
  • The save system is annoying as all hell, but it heavily influences playstyle
  • Combat! Your player starts out as a complete non-entity, Lester-the-Unlikelying his way through combat, being shit on by practically everyone. After training, it becomes For Honor lite (which is still far more complicated than Elder Scrolls). Massive positive.
  • Lockpicking minigame: is SHIT. I also found out that it's 100x more difficult on a gamepad than on a kb/mouse.
  • Voice acting is shockingly good. I haven't really heard anything voiced that made me cringe, apart from maybe one random townie.
