So, weird thing. For the most part the audience didn't laugh at any of it. There was one exception - the scene with the money caused the young kids behind us to laugh. I got the sense that they were able to "get" those jokes because they had recently been introduced to money.
But it was well-written! If Game Night had been a novel (or if I spent the evening reading the screenplay) I would have no question. I mean, it is a fine movie for what it is. I would give it three stars, sure.
I MAY have had an odd experience leading up to it. We saw Dana Gould at a comedy place two days before or whatever it was. And that was the hardest I'd ever laughed in my life. So he might have blown me out.

Yes, I thought Game Night was good! Fine! Absolutely. And I like Jason Bateman in anything now, I have decided.
