Palladium is somehow still around and still being given money by skip 02/28/2018, 2:53am PST
Kevin Siembieda is the head of Palladium Books, which produces RPG titles of Robotech, TNMT and Rifts. The books and systems are notorious for being clunky. He's been involved in online fights for decades and would try to sue BBS's with his materials and claimed all fan works were legally owned by him. In 2003, a freelancer said:

He never, ever accepts responsibility for something bad that has hapened to the company. Or if he does, he couches it in terms of how he's too much of a nice guy and gave Idiot Freelancer #23 a break when he should not have, or he was too open a boss and let Treacherous Scumbag #44 stab him in the back, and so on. His fault, but not really his fault.

This is from 2003. In 2006 was the "Crisis of Treachery" which was his friend embezzling money and then him exaggerating about the amount and then fans buying more merch because that's what nerds do. Fast forward to today where there's an efficient way for fans to be suckered.

After raising 1.4 million, for a promised ship date of 2013, he let one of his employees make boardgame off his license. This person started off unstable, accuses everyone of bullying them after implying the success of their KS relies on his(?). Then there's the update about his suicide attempt.KS backers are blamed.

It's now officially canceled. Because of the last 2% which was someone else's fault. He then blames everyone else but himself for fucking up and losing the Robotech license. He then writes that fans need to pay for shipping for the leftover rewards (instead of offering a refund) and the ones in comments are furious since the numbers don't add up. But this is the best line:

After the Kickstarter successfully funded, Palladium announced a Fall 2013 release and said that the game was 98% done, because in the minds of all of us here, it was 98% done. The rest was easy ... or so we thought.

Hahahaha.
