This morning I was blanking on the name of the guy from Saturday Night Fever. Usually in that situation I can just describe the person to Google and its search algorithms will figure out who I mean. So I tried "dago disco faggot". No results. "Disco dago faggot". Still nothing. I even tried spelling some of the words wrong. "Disco daggo fagot." Nada.
Now, everybody knows Google is the smartest, most culturally aware computer on the internet. What are the odds it didn't know who I was talking about? It's basically impossible, right? So all I can think is maybe the Church of Scientology is running the same search and sanitizing the results. Or someone at Google is doing the same to avoid a potential lawsuit. I know it sounds crazy, but to quote Sherlock Holmes, "when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth". What do you think? |
