I need advice regarding a terminally ill family member by Judge Barry 03/08/2018, 10:17pm PST
Grandma is on life support at this point and they asked my dad when they should suspend services. I'm not getting into that as the terminology they used but that was unsettling. Like she was a frozen aphid colony that just needed someone to pour a warm sugar solution on her to go crocheting again. Dad is trying to find the best day and I'm telling him that a bunch of us have Good Friday off so he can do it over a long weekend but he's saying that it robs grandma of dignity to wait like that. I just want us to do what is normal, so I'm asking, do people usually consider upcoming holidays and traffic and out of town flights before they take someone off life support? Has someone else gone through this?
