Island takes enough damage? You lose. Spirit presence gets entirely wiped out? You lose. Natives all die? You lose.
All the natives dying isn't a lose condition but makes it harder to win. Tom Chick got into boardgames and can't help but be a jackass in the forums. In a thread with the designer discussing a GenCon promo.
I asked someone going to Gencon to pick them up for me and she said they were all gone when she checked. If they're actually selling them instead of giving them out as, you know, promotional items, seems odd they'd run out. They didn't want my $10?
Anyway, count me among the folks bitterly disappointed. I mean, I can print out the two promo gods and play them that way, but part of what I like about Spirit Island are the production values. If I'm willing to pay for those, I'm a bit miffed that Greater Than isn't willing to sell them to me. :(
What an entitled prick.
I don't mean to sound like a dick, but Spirit Island's rules are very well written. They're clear, simple, and easy to navigate. You should use them!
Not to sound like a dick, but I'm going to be a dick. In another forum he complains he found a dominant winning strategy and when others object he starts whinging.
I haven't called a single person in this thread stupid, much less "everyone else". Furthermore, the only put down I see in this thread is you calling me an arse.
People would be much happier to chat with you, MercifulBiscuit, if you cut out all the unnecessary put downs.

Tom gets the thread locked with his bullshit. But you can watch him uninterrupted on YouTube. |
