| Extremely easy to corrupt some guy with a channel, cheaper too I'd imagine. So that was the promise of Gamergate? JonTron? Sweet Christ.
Back when Old Man Murray still existed, there was an LA Times article about the gaming press and how corrupt it was with the lavish vacations to "preview" titles. Was funny then, how they saw themselves as separate. Since then the journalism wagons have fucking circled tight, alright. Just random streamers, not JonTron or TotalBicuit, or any of these insufferable drama whores. Just watch a random stream for gameplay, mute the assholes if you have to, that was I got from Gamergate. It's so much effort, the Yotube stars are easier, but they're worse then PC Gamer ever was. They've all become so bad especially lately, like they've collectively figured out drama between Youtubers can get themselves views, and they're all getting desperate with the demonitization. It's like the worst qualities of reality TV, only from amateurs. That Mister Metokur guy seems to be into this shit the most, loves stirrring the shit between everybody, popping in and out of streams, then doing long videos about drama. I think he's trying to destroy it all from within, my theory. Call me an old fart so I read a message board called Caltrops for my gaming opinions, can't be bothered with these fucking streams. |
