Sometimes it all comes out right by Commander Tansin A. Darcos 06/01/2018, 6:51am PDT I was coming home recently with a new recycling bin from Home Depot, which I was wheeling in front of my power wheelchair. This Home Depot, located on East-West Highway in Hyattsville, MD is about 3 blocks fron the Prince George's Plaza Metrorail station. So anyway, I tip the bin to wheel it and ask what time it is, discovering it's 9:30 pm. (With both my hands full I can't get to my phone.) This probably means I missed the last 86 Calverton bus which runs from the station either at or just before 10. So I'm rolling along, I decide to stop at th Giant-Landover supermarket and pick up some D. Bob, the store brand of Dr. Pepper, as I was thirsty and sells for 89c for a 2-liter bottle. So I get that and I go across the street to the metro station. Just as I'm rolling up to the station, the bus I was going to take as a replacement for the 86, the F4 New Carrollton rolls by. (This bus would get me about 4-5 blocks frommy house.) I can't make it because the fucking bus is 90 seconds too early. By the time I get to that bus stop the next F4 isn't for 28 minutes. If I just roll home I could get there in less than 20 minutes, only my chair does not have enough power stored for that long a trip. I had noticed this before I left and as a safety precaution I brought my charger with me. I can plug in and charge the batteries at any wall outlet, including the one just inside the Meto station. So I go on to the front of the station to find the electric socket, when directly across from me at the other entrance is the side dispklay of a bus that says "86 Calvertobn," my bus! So I rush over, yelling in hopes the driver would hear me. I don't know if he did, but I caught the bus - as it turned out, was the last bus - which takes me to the stop across the street from my house. Sometimes - extremely rarely but sometimes - everything works out in the end.
