There is a quality that I always felt I could bring to writing comic books, which is the horrific injury piece that is always missing. What happens if Daredevil tears his ACL? Just like how I did 10 years ago? It's a story only I, and everyone who has ever played competitive football can tell. At first I thought it was just me, because in that "me plus NFLers" grouping, I'm the only one without a concussion. However, I'm assuming brain damage, CTE and strokes played a major part in making this so that isn't the barrier to entry I might have once thought it was.
The quality you bring is that you now know that women people (gotcher back, Z) are embarrassed by those that they needed the most when they needed them most. You can write an arc about Superman checking in on the couple dozen people he's talked off jumping from the roof of the Daily Planet. "Um," they'll say, uncomfortable at the memory. "I-I'd invite you in but, man, there's Kryptonite chunks everywhere in the rug," they'll stammer out. The staring at the floor and avoiding eye contact, not because they want to avoid accidentally taking a pair of red lasers to their sclera if they upset Supes, but because of the deep, deep shame. This is a story only you can tell because you are out there living life and your unique mind is experiencing new adventures. I love you for it.
