| People used to talk about videogames here, and one of the topics which was the most popular was, what was Pinback playing? Let's get back to the grassroots here, and once again ask the question that's on everyone's mind:
What's Pinback Playing? Well, I'm not playing fuck-all lately because my life is a 1982 television tuned to channel 3 except instead of static it just broadcasts nonstop stress and irritation all day, but in the brief, rare moments of respite I get from this living hellscape, let's find out... What's Pinback Playing? SPACE FOOD TRUCK: Bought for $2.49 on Steam Sale yesterday, and it's fantastic. You can tell it's fantastic, because it has a "mixed" rating on Steam, with everyone complaining that it's unfair. Anytime you see a "mixed" game that's "unfair", buy it immediately, because everyone is a moron. DRIFTLAND: Has there ever been a more gorgeous RTS/Settlers game? No. No there hasn't. JURASSIC WHATEVER IT IS: I am a Frontier -- how do the kids say it, "fanboi"? Yes, that. So I am playing that. It is the most beautiful looking thing I've ever seen, and the dinosaurs are amazing. I hear it gets boring fast. I haven't reached that point yet. ELITE DANGEROUS: See above (minus dinosaurs, plus spaceships.) PLANET COASTER: See above (minus dinosaurs, plus french-fry stalls.) OBJECTS IN SPACE: This came out in Early Access just a couple days ago, after I assumed for years it was vaporware. It isn't, and does indeed play like a space-based sub simulator. It has so many bugs and glitches that it's almost impossible to play at this point. I am hoping they fix it, because at its core, this is what we have all wanted our entire lives. QUAKE CHAMPIONS: It was free, and it is fun to shoot people. This has been: What's Pinback Playing?!?!??!??!?!?! |
