You might not think of Firefox as a game but as a fame platform it is a significant tool. With Javascriptn Java, and HTML5 out of the box it is a huge piece of work for running game programs.
Add to this Flash and you get YouTube - which is also working to convert its video delivery system to HTML5 - and you have access to flash-based games.
I seriously recommend We Create Stuff's 2D puzzle game Portal The Flash Game which runs inside Firefox, and was released before Valve's Portal. Portal TFV presents many of the challenges of the 3D game in a 2D Flash environment. It's very good and some parts are quite possibly harder than the original Portal. They then did a complete remake of the 3D map called Portal TFV Mappack to create their own replacement game pack for Portal based on their flkash game. You can find that one here. You download and run it as an add-on map inside Portal I.
