| I have CoE 3 & 4, and have OVER 5 minutes of playtime in each, and they are both firmly in my category of "games I appreciate so much, but will never, ever, ever have time to understand even 1% of it so fuck it." Much like all Illwinter games, they are labors of love and dedication, which lead to statements like "they're really quite straightforward, once you know and understand the ten million statistics and skills of each of the fifty thousands races and their eighteen-hundred individual units."
I mean. Maybe I'm wrong. MM, can you play CoE4 as a casual? Is there any point to DELVING BACK IN to 4, knowing that I cannot be arsed to read pages of statistics, or, you know, think all that hard about things? I know Dominions is right out, but CoE seems at least remotely approachable because the overmap plays like Empire Deluxe with worse graphic design. |
