I guess by the inevtable logic of capitalism, consolidation always happens sooner or later. But the internet was just a lot more fun when there were more wacky small retailers online.
Amazon has a big counterfeit problem, too. Even Apple gets their shit counterfeited on Amazon.
Amazon is basically Wal*Mart, except they've working even harder to roboticize their low-wage workforce, and they've found even more effective ways to screw their suppliers. There's not a lot to love there, even for a conservative.
I guess the fact that they don't force their workforce into Maoist self-criticism sessions is good. But that's like clapping because the McDonalds employees didn't shit in your hamburger.
