Delightful little coffeebreak game that plays like a cross between Into the Breach and Myth the Fallen Lords.

You're given control of up to four squads of dudes on a randomly generated square grid island, protecting the settlements there from longships full of vikings as they assail the island in waves. At first it looks like the game is running a simple rock-paper-scissors mechanic with shield infantry beats archers beats pikemen/brutes beats shield infantry. But as you get further into the game and face larger numbers of it really becomes clear that this is a "sim" and you can use the physics to your advantage, like distracting shield dudes with infantry to let archers shoot them in the back, or using a pike charge to bounce heavy vikings into the water to drown. And the whole thing plays out with a cute bouncy style of animation, despite the prodigious blood and gore splattered all over the battlefield when the mission's done.

Just be aware there are some major difficulty spikes throughout the game. My biggest protip is not to park your archers on a hill and use them as passive support. Infantry aren't the only troops that can attack on the move!
