ICJ is right about constant redesign of UI's, Google's new Gmail interface is by Terrible, IMO 03/14/2019, 4:31pm PDT
What's up with making UI's work worse rather than better? Now they're hiding the folder menu on the left until you hover over it - fine, that's a little thing that I can deal with that only slightly slows down the process of using Gmail.

Even worse though is how it now handles copying of email addresses. My company uses Gsuite for email (cheap fucking company) so I've had to go from the guy who meticulously files all of my emails in appropriate Outlook folders to someone who uses the search box to find what I want out of the thousands of emails sitting in there. So in the course of my job I often need to copy an email address so it can be added to the CRM or a spreadsheet or something other than sending an email through the Gmail interface. Now, whenever you right click on an email address in Gmail it automatically opens up a compose message window with the email inside. So now I have an extra click to get rid of that window. I don't know if they really think that's helpful or they're trying to encourage us to only send emails through them but it's really fucking annoying. I simply don't understand the purpose of intentionally making a UI less usable.
