Is it as good as Devil May Cry? No, of course not.
Is it decent at least? Surprisingly yes. If this were a doujin game it would be god-tier. The basic enemies have all been glorified punching bags so far, but the couple mini bosses I've fought put up a surprisingly vicious fight. It's also the most playable 3D brawler with keyboard and mouse controls I've ever tried, thanks in part to the basic combo autofiring.
I'd place it above the 3D Legacy of Kain games but below Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks in terms of combat gameplay so far, but that assessment could change as I unlock more moves. |
