It's not a blobber, you are one guy at the beginning, the voice acting is bad, the art direction listless and generic. There's nothing in it that relates in any real way to the earlier games, it's sluggish, it's bloated, if it had any other name it would have been a forgotten ware in two seconds.
They used nostalgia for the franchise to prop a game they just wanted to make. $100 I paid on Kickstarter.
The box is nice and the manual is in the same style as the first one.
The first Bard's Take game had a great premise: a wizard snowed you into a town and you have to kill him to get out. If anyone sat through the inane warbling of this game to know what it's about, God bless.
Pinback and I once had an exchange, I said the most insipid writing in the world was from girls on Instagram. He said, well, it's possible to think that unless you read the public replies from guys on Instagram. He is correct, but I think this decade of RPG writing is far worse than either.
