Also it located inside a brewery, so maybe it just seems like the best pizza I've ever had.

I'm gonna see if they mail pies.
OK, best pizzas I've ever had in my life:
1) Captain Cook's, Rochester, NY They get a mention because my dad would bring a pizza home on Friday nights during a section of time when he worked from 2-10PM. It was exciting, it was a taste of the forbidden (getting to stay up late, I have a memory of watching Johnny Carson but I think he didn't have shows on Friday, so I dunno.) They went out of business a long time ago, but I must mention them because of the memories.
2) Pizza Shack, Hamlin, NY http://www.hamlinpizzashack.com/ This, to me, is what pizza is supposed to be. When I was last home, I was informed that they have a "thin" crust and a regular crust. Both are incredible! I don't know if we've had discussions on what makes Rochester pizza different than NYC pizza, and I don't know if I can adequately explain it. It's a little less floppy, that's for sure. It's typically square cut. But this is consistently the best example of the genre.
3) Pontillio's Pizza, Hilton, NY https://www.pontillospizzamenu.com/ I grew up in a little town called Hilton. Suburb about 15 minutes west of Rochester, which isn't all that big itself. I believe we had 2,000 people in our town and I think there were at least 10 pizzerias. Per capita, I will put my hometown up against anyone. Pontillo's just makes a pizza bathed in the most delicious cheese out there. You can swim in it.
Okay, that's three places, one of which no longer exists. The Mad Monk seems like it would fit in nicely with the above. We have won this thread, Pinner.
