I was able to import an MP3 I made 20 years ago that had percussion, a bass line and vocals into Ableton. That worked great. I was able to play along with a MIDI controller I bought for like 30 bucks on Amazon and record a keyboard part. Great! One weird thing it seems to do is put my keyboard/MIDI part there twice. I saw something in a tutorial about it thinking you want to set one bar up when you record stuff... I dunno. Just weird. But anyway, with Youtube videos, I think Ableton is pretty usable.
