I was never that excited about this game, but it's by the guys who did Xulima so I had to give them the benefit of the doubt.

*sigh* So after hours of building up my economy and picking off straggler zombies and clearing to the very top of the map, I get a message that a horde of zombies are coming from the north. No problem, I have multiple layers of walls far to the north with an army of rangers behind it... then I get the message that the zombies are here, I scroll to my wall, nothing's there, then I scroll south a bit and see that Zombies are coming down the train tracks. Well I didn't think that part of the map was in play. So my city falls and I prepare to restart the map... and the thought of going through the incredibly boring task of building all those fucking tents again makes my stomach drop.

Did I mention this game doesn't let you save your progress mid-level? Only a suspend save.

I've got no problem with the concept of a zombie game where if a single zombie slips through your defenses they can destroy your entire city. I DO have a problem with that concept mixed with an ISOMETRIC VIEWPOINT THAT FULLY CONCEALS INDIVIDUAL ZOMBIES BEHIND TREES AND OTHER FOREGROUND OBJECTS. There's a reason Infested Planet has a direct overhead view.

Uninstall.

The one thing playing this game reminded me of was how Infested Planet did so much more using so much less! Or Dungeons 3, which has a very similar loop, but building up your underground economy is a delightful and entertaining experience.

And of course this game probably outsold the brilliant Lords of Xulima 100 to 1.
