People used to write articles about how the Joker was gay for Batman, because it was the most shockingly offensive thing you could say about a beloved comic book psychopath. Today, being gay is normal, and DC is publishing books with Batman's cock in them because who wouldn't want to see that?
So the Joker's become an incel.

Incel is a portmanteau of "involuntary celibate," someone unable to find a sexual partner, despite a desire to have one. Most self-proclaimed incels are males who desire female partners. The incel community often believes women hate them because of their outward appearance. However, judging from their often-vindictive and hateful views of other people and the world, it's more often that they can't find a partner due to their sexist and antagonistic behavior.
I have a problem with guys - and it's always guys - characterizing incels like this, and it has nothing to do with painting incels in an unflattering light. I don't think there is a light that's flattering to incels. My problem is how these men seem to be positioning women as moral guardians, as if it's their role to reward good behaviour with sex, and punish sexist/antagonistic behaviour by withholding it.
I'd like to believe women are human beings, capable of making their own decisions for their own reasons, and there are a variety of perfectly valid reasons why a woman might choose to have sex with a man that have nothing to do with him being a nice guy and deserving it. To say incels are bad people is to say women aren't people at all, they're social devices. That's some Jordan Peterson logic.
None of which is to suggest that incels aren't bad people, of course, just that complaining about their situation on the internet is more like the unfuckable icing on an unfuckable cake. Click here to see Batman's cock. |
