Also consider making dishes for others who don't necessarily share the same tastes as yourself. Your guests may or may not want to cauterize their mouths with heat. Another side effect could be "how does this profile change our drinks, or desserts?" especially given the assault on taste buds from the 30+ minute burn of 500,000 Scovilles etc.

Broaden your variables and get back in the kitchen, dishpig ;)
