It's too metered out for my tastes. Yes, you're following a couple pedestrians in an unbroken shot, but there aren't the crescendos and sudden changes that an action story demands, even though there's several action sequences. It develops nicely in the beginning when all of a sudden they have to cross a massive bomb crater, that's the device at its best. But when shit really goes down, it oddly feels like business as usual, they'll move past this scheduled challenge and onto the next. A Spielberg would be cramming in twist upon twist like so many crates.

I liked it a lot too but mostly because the fact that it's a sweet tribute absolves it from needing to have much of an edge.
