After yelling loudly at New York/LA for 2 weeks, they finally tossed the Adaptation bone to Chicago. I thank them. Not only is the writer of BEING JOHN MALKOVICH (sp?) back for Revenge Against all Odds, but he brought his realistically vague brother, Donald with him. The movie is basically about Charlie Kaufman (the scriptwriter himself) writing the script to his next movie: Adaptation. I forget which one of you fags loves recursive and self referential bullshit, but it doesn’t matter. The movie is brilliantly executed. The plot about the script being written is variably and intelligent and the acting is superb from all sides. I won’t ruin the plot for you further, but this movie is insanely satisfying and I’m still not sure how much of it happened due to the disclaimer at the end: THIS MOVIE WAS BASED ON ACTUAL EVENTS BLAH BLARGH. Just go see it, if it’s playing somewhere near you. mrs. johnson says: 9/10 Golden Fags.
