Yes. Being fired for social media is when you post on on twitter or somewhere some wacky or ill informed opinion, or embarassing picture or something like that, possibly ages ago. Then your employer finds it and fires you.

This is a lady in real life calling 911 to get a black man in trouble for basically no reason. Facebook was just the way the video was disseminated. Calling this a social media firing I think totally misses how this occurred.
