Here. Dust is a twine game so it can run in other browsers, guess I'll kick off the android-specific thread with it.
TL;DR: Make a wastelander with a background and four core stats, get a mission to retrieve an artifact, and go wild trying to get it.
Combat is turn based and simple but not unbearably stupid. Running from a fight can be a smart option. Survivors seem to win the day - my initial nomad character kicked ass for 90+ days in my first run before being killed and robbed because I was dumb and fucked up, and my most important skill in that run by far was setting up camp. Limited inventory slots so pack rat bullshit is possible with ammo only and it's a pain to engage in unless you have a mouse - call that a form of balance by interface screw. Could be better if it had a click and drag system for ammo management.
It has ambiance moreso than story. Music didn't make my ears bleed, wish the weapon and explosion effects were on a separate volume slider so I could make them quieter. |
