| Railing against a Chinese app about racism is the dumbest waste of energy I've seen in a while
TikTok is the first Chinese app to get a following in the West. It analyzes EVERYTHING. The algorithm notes whether or not videos have puppies, stills, and everything else. From content in the video to what you view before or after. The AI has to be good. China doesn't know or care about Western quirks but algorithms can figure it out. Unlike FANG guys, coders in Shanghai don't give a fuck about "organic growth". You wanna see blonde thots? Here you go! Funny cat videos? Sure buddy. It does all this without users having to follow anyone. There's too many TikTok subcultures to list and the algorithm sorts it out easily. Compare this to the clunky Discover features of IG or Twitter or Reddit's godawful Frontpage. |
