Classic example of horrible check point system by Ice Cream Jonsey 09/24/2020, 9:44pm PDT
This is a classic example of how indefensible is.

The game sets a mood - desolation, great graphics, doors mysteriously opening on their own. Great. Gonna take my time and absorb it all. Oh crap, I'm an adult in my 40s with a mortgage, can only play in a few minute chunks at a time.

I'm not going to complain about the very nature of checkpoints because that has been done to death. But I hate when there is no way to know when or if it saved. Your options when you hit Escape are just to Continue or Quit to the Main Menu. If they had "Load Game" here and there were no games to load it would be obvious that it hadn't saved. But there isn't. What a terrible user experience.

Ooo, they have "photo mode" though. That's great. If the screenshot button in Steam ever breaks I'm glad there's a backup.

You go into a new area and talk to a janitor with full voice acting and no conversation choices and it still didn't save.

I think there's a console swirly icon in the corner to indicate saving. by Mischief Maker 09/25/2020, 5:33am PDT NEW
