Hope you get better. I'm just going to write this because your story over the years gave me some encouragement
anyway after a bunch of other medical shit, multiple hospitalizations, and being put on a heap of meds, there was one trip to the ER for a sodium fuckup due to kidney function impedance. She always feels parched. We adjusted some prescriptions that were hard on the kidneys and tried salt tablets, no change, then they tried a higher-bioavailability dietary change and it controls the problem for now with targeted foods that they only tried after exhausting the use of medications with much higher risk factors. If this is where Steve Jobs got juicing before he applied it to cancer, I guess I get it, but he was still an idiot.
Did they do the thing where they left you waiting in the ER for hours until some asshole floor doc got off like a two second phone call with nephrology and the kidney doc was like 'lol whatever it's probably the usual, don't bother telling them anything much,' and then they said like two words to you and basically told you to go home? Because I loved that part. |
