| I don't think I've ever seen a videogame/movie tie-in that misses the movie's point this much since the Matrix MMO.
I mean if you're gonna do a Starship Troopers game, at least use the cool power armor from the Heinlein book. Not the intentionally ill-equipped mobile infantry from the Verhoven movie. The whole point of the movie was that their tactics suck and they walk into meatgrinder after meatgrinder because of their fascist belief in pure macho bravado overcoming an enemy they see as both strong and weak. Also the graphics suck and have none of Verhoven's over-the-top gore. No flying heads when the winged bugs dive-bomb their lines? |
