| My late wife's favorite dog, her Chihuahua named Piglette. She'd been sick since February and I had worked to get her healthy but it was clear by March that she was never going to get better. But I had a bunch of meds and a little oxygen encolsure for her, and she hung in there for awhile. I was surprised at how broken up I was when she passed away, having -- I thought -- kinda come to terms with the fact that she wasn't going to be around for a lot longer these last few months. :( She had congestive heart failure, and was retaining a lot of water, so she was on a diuretic. She also had a pulmonary problem that made it hard to breathe at altitude here, and a couple other issues. | ||||
