You know all those hacker sim games like Hacker Evolution?

Song of Farca is a graphical adventure game using that theme. You're some tumblr hair womyn in a cyberpunk disoptia taking on investigation cases. Click on clue highlights in your database to come up with new locations. The main meat of the game is visiting locations for clues. You hack into a camera, and from there you can hack into any visible object.

Your mileage may vary with these sequences. Basically you try to expand your vision to hack into all available objects for clues. Hack into drones or cleaning robots to move around. The obstacles you run into are people in close proximity preventing a hack into an object, so you distract them by settings off fire alarms. Then door switches, and the low point: fan switch puzzles. WAY too many puzzles trying to guide Roombas through an air vent maze of fans. They all suck. The others are ok.

So it's an easy relaxing play with just enough feeling of playing a cyberpunk hacker to be stimulating. I wish the art style was more traditional cyberpunk rather than the "Invisible Inc. meets the movie Her" look they use. It's compelling enough that I'm playing it to the end. There was one really fun mission where there's a traditional Shadow Run raid on a corporate HQ and you're playing the remote hacker support role of disabling security as the team advances through the building, like so much Henry Case.

Worth $20 or under.
