Total clown town, apparently. Zillow barely did any due diligence. As a result they didn't notice that the roof needed to be replaced. Apparently the roof was so old that it wouldn't even be possible to get insurance on the house. I guess once they bought it they did a poor job maintaining the landscaping as well.
The dumbest part is that Zillow actually was making money on their home buying side business until they tweaked the algorithm to make more aggressive (higher) offers. All they had to do was leave it alone, but of course they couldn't. |
