But yeah, a bit too questionable contenty where Vince can't nut up in the slightest. No option to tell either harpy to fuck off. You can write a sad sack with no willpower and not have them be infuriating to watch, but Catherine ain't it.

I definitely agree with being infuriated that Vincent was such a pathetic boob. 10 hours of cutscenes with an unlikable character I wanted to scream at.

Apparently had I actually been able to maintain a neutral meter you do get a happy ending where you choose neither woman (in fact, I think all of the endings are ultimately happy), so I guess that's technically an option. This ties back into being confused about how choices affect the outcome. In a story where the entire point is the protagonist growing a pair and taking control of his life, you shouldn't have to guess what choices will arrive at a particular outcome. They should have been clear so you could, you know, actually consciously choose what you wanted.

HATED the block puzzle game play, kept playing just to see where the story would go next. Wished there was a super easy mode that practically autoplays the levels for you.

Maybe the block puzzles would be better if they didn't force you to use THE WORST CAMERA ANGLE EVER. Stop fucking taking the camera away from my character!!!

I felt this way at first but changed my mind by the end of the game. In my first playthrough, there were multiple times where I struggled with not being able to rotate around to the backside of the blocks and the confusing reversed controls when you're facing the camera. Once you really learn and understand the strategies the game teaches you, though, finding yourself in a position where you really need to spin the camera around or you spend a lot of time in reverse means you badly fucked up. Most levels can be beaten by improvising with a few simple patterns, and there's only one level I can really think of that relies on mostly needing to memorize one path to completion. I'd compare this game to a Rubik's cube. Seems impossible and you can spend an eternity fumbling around, but when you learn that there's some simple repeatable strategies you can use you can solve it in no time flat.
