Yup by Aloens win 03/08/2022, 9:19pm PST 100% on the equipment bullshit. There's no clear pacing path with it ON TOP OF the nightmare inventory management. ON TOP OF THAT you have FIVE different factions with their own brands of equipment and incompatible ammo. The strategic portion is an unfun mix of figuring out how to cheese stealing shit and juggling reputation points so you can get away with stealing shit. Who is offering the best price on apples? How exactly does base activation and satellite scanning work? Not gonna tell you! We'll also let you find out on your own that all resource producing buildings are garbage. The one and only good thing this game did was the weapon line of sight system. Can we just get one fucking X-Com game that's not autistic with the equipment and is just aliens vs united humanity? Why do they keep insisting on fucking this up?
