It's really depressing these days that every game in the local arcade now is either the latest Tekken/Virtual Fighter, a light gun game, a racing game (a genre which peaked at San Franciso Rush), or Dance Dance Revolution. There is NOTHING ELSE. EVER
Many dance/fight/race/gun games, but also Virtual On, Gauntlet Dark Legacy, my beloved psycho Japanese fishing game and its safari roping cousin (fish game removed in mid-October, cry), sko Fist of the North Star boxing game, DJ version of dance game (you be the DJ yo), bunches of ticket-winning games for enviably shitty prizes, air hockey, Star Wars Trilogy, Skateboarding, 16-Wheeler, and Street Luge games. And a bunch of other stuff. Also cheap movies. Great place.
That's the thing, it's only in major U.S. cities that you see any kind of variety.
Huh.
it's only in major U.S. cities that you see any kind of variety
Hm.
it's only in major U.S. cities that you see any kind of variety
Ah.
Fabio: congrats on your fucking economics doctorate. In the future I hope to see winsome whining screeds from you regarding the prevalence of ethnic minorities in ethnic enclaves, the increasing size of lawns as one moves out of the city towards the countryside, and how pollution is intimately tied to the rise of industrialization.
I played Virtual On, which I fucking LOVE, at Disney World in 1996, and I have yet to see it anywhere else besides New York City. THAT IS TOTALLY FUCKING UNACCEPTABLE
So now you've moved on from bitching out arcades for failing to cater to your own personal needs to bitching out arcades for failing to your own personal arcane needs? That's brilliant, soon you'll have the wherewithal to hate everyfuckinthing. I'll get you started: when you read the Kool-Aid package, it doesn't give you any scaling directions. Like say you only want a single glass of Kool-Aid and not a whole pitcher? The packet doesn't say anything about that. You have to guess and check, guess and check, it would piss anyone off. |
