| This is a phenomenon I've only seen in the past few years. I'll grab a movie torrent off piratebay, but when I watch it the fucking thing turns out to be overdubbed in Russian.
I don't mean dubbed. I mean the entire original audio is still there with the English dialog, but the volume is turned down to 30% and a bad bootleg Russian dub just talks over all the English lines. Who is this for? The movie is now ruined for BOTH languages. Are Russians so illiterate that they're fine with completely destroying the audio and immersion so they don't have to read? I'm running into this morr often. Worse, it's for semi-obscure modern releases and the ONE torrent I can find for it is always these shit Russian dubs. Spend all that time finding and downloading it, then when I open it I find out some fucker tampered to make it useless. It's like 2003 Limewire all over again. |
