So, in all the other cases it was admitted - or was obvious - that those onscreen were not the actual artists? I cam go along with that. It wasm't the lip-syncing. it was covert lip-syncing.
A similar law in the United States deals with the practice of accepting money to play a song on a radio station. A federal law, 47 U.S. Code ยง 317 does not make it illegal to accept payola. Disk Jockeys and stations can accept funds to play songs, as long as, before the material is broadcast, an announcement is made stating that the material being broadcast was paid to do so. I is only clandestine payola that is illegal.
