| Turns out the great monster of the week haunted castle plot in the season premiere episode was just a fluke. Everything after that either fizzles or is AWFUL dull shit.
The shit in the Witcher castle could have been interesting, but fizzled. The weird centipede thing that zombified the Leshie, are we going to explain that? Are we going to explain Nilfgaard at all? Or at least why stopping them is constantly portrayed as stopping Sauron? The sole kingdom practicing racial equality vs Folsted and Bloody Bitch Queen? Had my hand on the remote during the trifecta Baba Yaga hut scene: dull, confusing, long. Wait a minute, finally an interesting plot with Yennifer and the fascist mage faction politics? Oops, she pointlessly threw everything away to rescue the Nilfgaard general and now they're on the run with bad buddy cop moments. Thank god we dodged that interesting plot bullet. My quitting point was Dandelion blowing the refugee's cover just for an unfunny moment. This was right after they tried giving him more depth in a scene where he gives a speech about fighting fascism. Just like the part in Schindler's List where a bunch of Jews get executed because he couldn't keep his cool after an SS officers criticized his suit. Fuck. Just stick to monster of the week with a sprinkling of overarching plot to tie it all together! That's ALL you have to do! Just take plots directly from the comics!
