Every bit of publicity about this game told the absolute truth.

The designer tells us that it's a slow paced, docile affair, and the TV commercials told us that is was a building demolition sim. I don't even think I remember seeing a single enemy in the commercials, just pillar smashing with verbose adjectives like "good!", "cool!", and "great!" with each increasingly complex yo-yo combo executed. That made me imagine the game being devil may cry - guns - 100 * (the fun). Thanks to Fussbett I know I was right, and I love being right.

I realized it couldn't be good when even the ability to grab an enemy and swing him around your head a few times before throwing him into things didn't look fun in the commercial.

Has anyone played 'Crimson Sea' yet ..? (I haven't and the local Blockbuster hasn't gotten a copy yet.) Reviews are too scattershot to figure out if the control issues and 'frantic gameplay' are more annoying than exciting, but the rpg elements and gun/sword upgrade system sound interesting.
