All the critics are putting it on their best-of-year lists. by Fullofkittens 12/18/2022, 9:21am PST
My family - which includes a 14 year-old boy, a 9-year old boy, and two Gen Xers - took one look and said nope, we're out on Star Wars shit. The last episode of Mandalorian S2 was our last Star Wars straw. They proved Rich Evans 100% right with that one.

Disney really fucked up bad. We don't watch Marvel stuff any more either. There's a limit to how many mediocre things you can throw into a franchise before "trying other stuff" becomes the more attractive option. Star Wars Ep9 and the end of Mandalorian S2 were the tipping point for Star Wars, Moon Knight was the tipping point for Marvel. I don't know anyone that got to the end of that show. Then the next one (Miss Marvel?) came around and we were like...eh. Not gonna bother with this one. Or any other ones. If you told me that Hailee Steinfeld and Florence Pugh were going to have a Lethal Weapon buddy cop movie, I'd go see that. Other than that they've squandered all of whatever interest we had in superheroes.
