I'm glad and I'm angry at him. I was on the fence occasionally this season about keeping him around, but it's clear he is, at least at this stage of his career, a very bad head coach. Our team was NOT prepared to play yesterday. I couldn't bear to watch it but right away we were back to incredibly low percentage sideline streak throws and other nonsense, when the week before our running game had clearly shown the way to *some* level of success. If Wilson isn't doing well, if he can't carry the offense (and he clearly cannot), then make a game plan that *helps him out*
Anyway, he sucks and good riddance.
It was weird to involve the new quarterback in the offensive scheme. And to bring "his guys" over like they did. It was weird to not play guys during pre-season, people are going to get hurt anyway, you really need them to not look sluggish and not be on the same page. I am shocked that your defense has remained so good with the team playing so poorly. Whatever else is going on there, it seems that either guys are not getting injured and deciding to take the rest of the season off, or if guys ARE getting injured, the second string guys are playing effectively, too.
I wonder if Sean Payton could turn things around or if he is looking at what on earth is going on there with Wilson and thinking no thanks.
