In other news: Natural Selection still kicks all varieties of ass.
Starting with the ass of my Half-Life installation. Look, before I get on with calling you a fag, I'd like to take this opportunity to point out that I've had this same installation of Half-Life, and its various mods(over 2.5 gigs), since I purchased it in late '99. It had, until now, managed to survive two hard-drive-swaps, 3 OS installations and about a bazillion video card bugs. People don't routinely uninstall Half-Life, so I think it's reasonable to assume that people also do not routinely reinstall Half-Life. This was the installation of Half-Life I planned to, one day, pass on to my children. Nearly four years of reliable Quake II-based technology, cut down in its prime...for what? A fucking Alien VS Predator rip-off mod.
Look here, cock-puppet, I've played Alien Doom. I fucking own AvP. I have played the demo for AvP2 and I am satisfied that I don't need to buy it. And while I'm sure the mod team put forth every effort into making Natural Selection as refreshing and innovative as it possibly could be, it's still a fucking Alien vs Predator rip-off. And while I'm sure it offers a few strokes of originality, NS falls especially short of one of the main elements present in every game it tries to emulate:
NOT FUCKING UP MY HALF-LIFE.
